Free* Journey: The Prayer Experience

For the past five weeks, 58 churches across the Cincy Metro area have been on a journey…a journey in becoming Free*

Do you ever act out of guilt?

Are you bored a lot?

Do you worry what others will think?

Living in freedom is about more than choosing your career or voting for the politician of your choice. It involves more than simply making your own decisions, staying out of jail or even being “saved.”

Total freedom means you are living fearlessly, passionately and joyfully – regardless of your circumstances, not because of them.

Through weekend services/celebrations, individual study through journaling, and small group interaction, the whole purpose of the Free* journey has been recognizing, and ultimately, destroying all the things in our lives that have kept us in spiritual bondage.

For the past five weeks, every Tuesday night, I’ve had the privilege of experiencing this Free* journey with six other women. Needless to say, it’s been an eye-opening bonding experience. It’s funny how you can find yourself, among a group of people.

Even if you haven’t been involved in the Free* journey, I strongly encourage you to go through the journal yourself by downloading a free copy here. Go ahead…what can it hurt? Also, Brian Tome, lead pastor at Crossroads Community Church, wrote a book offering a more in-depth look into spiritual freedom.

As part of the Free* journey, Crossroads is holding a “Prayer Experience,” an interactive exhibit of sorts.

I missed it last year when they had it (for another journey, RESET), but I was determined to go this time around.

Here’s a lil more info about what exactly I experienced and what you can expect, if you decide to go…

The Free* Prayer Experience will take place March 21-29 at Crossroads Oakley. It’s designed to be a simple, personal prayer journey with an audio guide to help you engage with God. It’s great for those who have never prayed, or for those who pray everyday. It’s designed to last about an hour, but you can take as much time as you’d like.

It was an amazing experience…

P.s. Your prayer experience may or may not involve friendly geese trying to make your accquaintance…mine certainly did. #JustSayin
